- Faculty member Jessica Lander named one of 50 Finalists worldwide for the Varkey Foundation Global Teacher of the Year Award (a $1m award, the “Nobel of Teaching”).
- Faculty member Jessica Lander is awarded the 2021 Don Salvucci Award for Excellence in Promoting Civic Education by the Massachusetts Council for the Social Studies.
- Faculty member Michael Neagle (then at the Pyne Arts MS) is named MA History Teacher of the Year (through the GLI).
- Faculty member Jessica Lander named to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts DESE Teachers’ Cabinet.
- LHS is invited twice to the White House for civics summits (July, Dept. Chair Robert DeLossa and student Onotse Omoyeni; October, Head of School Brian Martin and student Andre Ragel) .
- Junior Onotse Omoyeni wins the Princeton Prize in Race Relations (one of 25 national awards on the basis of region).
- Faculty member Jessica Lander wins the Massachusetts Council on the Social Studies Aieta Award for most promising new teacher in social studies (statewide award).
- Faculty member Brian Sheckman wins James Madison Fellowship (national award, one for each state).
- Faculty member Joseph Jussaume wins Gilder-Lehrman summer fellowship (national award).
- Faculty member Robert DeLossa named Harvard University Globalizing the Classroom fellow (inaugural cohort).
