Each year, a member of the junior class at LHS attends the Normandy Academy at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans, then travels to France for further studies at the actual battlefields and cemeteries in Normandy. This yearly opportunity for one of our students to become an “ambassador to the future” about the great sacrifices made for the sake of our country’s freedom has been supported for six years by an anonymous donor. Our school is profoundly grateful to our donor for this opportunity. Below is this year’s honoree, Victoria Ortiz Kim, as she addresses the LHS Veterans Day assembly.
