Noy Thrupkaew is a freelance writer based in New York City who writes on topics ranging from international affairs to feminism to popular culture and the arts. Her work has appeared in outlets including The Nation, The Utne Reader, Kyoto Journal, and The American Prospect. Previously a fellow at The Prospect, she is also the former associate editor of the feminist newspaper, Sojourner: The Women's Forum. She has lived in Thailand, reported from Cuba and Iran, and worked as a discussion panelist for Japan's largest English-language radio station. She studied comparative literature and religious studies at Brown University.
